Line items and definitions
Values are in units of the reporting currency (USD for all companies today), not thousands or millions. Per-share values are decimals. Ratios are fractions: 0.18 is 18%.

Where the numbers come from
Reported items are read from the company's 10-K and 10-Q filings (XBRL data published by the SEC). Companies tag the same thing in different ways, so we map several tags to each item and use the one the company reports. Share counts are adjusted for stock splits. Calculated items are derived from the reported ones.
Companies that do not report under US GAAP (many foreign filers) are not covered yet.
Not available yet
eps_diluted, operating_cash_flow and capital_expenditure are planned. Asking for them returns invalid_parameter today.
